Educational institutions around the world face increasingly complex challenges that demand creativity, adaptability, and collaboration. Faculty members encounter diverse issues in their teaching and research, and addressing these effectively requires new perspectives, tools, and approaches. One such approach is Design Thinking — a human-centred methodology that fosters innovation through empathy and experimentation.

This workshop, conducted as part of THE SEEN 2 Conference: Engaging. Embracing. Emerging. (held in 2018), introduced participants to the principles and practices of Design Thinking. The session brought together GUST faculty and students from the Education program, creating a collaborative environment where participants explored how design-led problem-solving can be applied within educational contexts.
